Learning for Life is a North East Regional Specialist provider of services based in Consett, County Durham, for adults aged 18 plus who have a diverse range of disabilities. We pride ourselves in providing a stimulating and effective learning environment for all learners, including those experiencing more profound and multiple learning and physical difficulties.
The ‘Read to’ Dog will visit College in September with her owner Ali Scott. This gives learners the opportunity to enjoy a sensory experience whilst reading to the Dog or listening to a story. Dates Commencing in September TBC.
Pets as Therapy – David Coombs bring the lovely Jess into College Monday afternoons (terms time only) to see everyone.
We serve delicious homemade cakes, scones, toasties and a variety of hot and cold beverages. Everyone welcome!
Archery sessions with Chris Hume (Everest Archery and Climbing). This is an exciting opportunity for learners to participate in this exciting sport and also to prepare some of our Special Olympians for the competitions in London in October. Dates Commencing in September TBC.
