Welcome to Learning for Life
Learning for Life is a registered charity and North East Specialist provider of services based in Consett, Co Durham, for adults aged 16 plus who have a diverse range of complex needs and disabilities.
We pride ourselves on providing a stimulating and effective learning environment for all young people, including those experiencing more profound and multiple learning and physical difficulties.
We work collaboratively with parents, carers, learners, partners, professionals and all stakeholders to ensure a consistently high-quality service. Learning for Life is a place where people are valued and respected for their individual contribution, for their uniqueness, their skills and their ability.
Staff at Learning for Life are highly trained, qualified and committed to their role working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for learners. Lifelong Learning is accessible, popular and an effective place for learning, education, personal development, care and support. A place where all learners are valued and treated equally.
These sessions take place 10am-12noon each week. No booking required. Price £3.50 (Includes craft materials and a cup of tea or coffee). Come along and learn card and jewellery making or come and do your own craft and enjoy the company.
These sessions take place 12.45-2.15pm each week. No booking required. Price £1.50 (Includes a cup of tea or coffee). Come along for chat, friendly company, refreshments and the opportunity to play table top games.
It’s ‘World Christmas Jumper day’ on Friday 14th December. We will be supporting this! Please bring £1 donation and you can wear a Christmas Jumper or Pyjamas. All proceeds go to the charity ‘Save the children.’
There will be a bag pack event at Morrison’s in West Denton on Sunday 16th December 2018 between 11am and 3pm in aid of the Special Olympics. Any volunteers would be very welcome – please let us know if you have an hour or two you could spare.
