Welcome to Learning for Life
Learning for Life is a registered charity and North East Specialist provider of services based in Consett, Co Durham, for adults aged 16 plus who have a diverse range of complex needs and disabilities.
We pride ourselves on providing a stimulating and effective learning environment for all young people, including those experiencing more profound and multiple learning and physical difficulties.
We work collaboratively with parents, carers, learners, partners, professionals and all stakeholders to ensure a consistently high-quality service. Learning for Life is a place where people are valued and respected for their individual contribution, for their uniqueness, their skills and their ability.
Staff at Learning for Life are highly trained, qualified and committed to their role working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for learners. Lifelong Learning is accessible, popular and an effective place for learning, education, personal development, care and support. A place where all learners are valued and treated equally.
Pets as Therapy – David Coombs brings the lovely Jess into College at our Herbert Street premises on Friday afternoons (term time only).
We would like to invite you to a coffee afternoon in aid of ‘Jeans for Genes.’ There will be a raffle, cake stall, tombola and other stalls, there will also be a prize for staff and learners for the jazziest jeans! Any donations for the cake stall or raffle would be gratefully appreciated.
