It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that due to the current COVID-19 situation and financial constraints, that Learning for Life are not going to re-open the Oasis Café, at Citizens House.
This has been a truly marvellous employability opportunity for so many of our learners, as they have learned so much about serving food and beverages, as well as customer service during the time that they have worked in the Oasis Café.
I would like to personally say a huge and heartfelt ‘thank you’ to Citizens House, the volunteers, learners and the staff for their contribution in the success of the café. Additionally, and most importantly, I would like to thank our regular customers for making it such a wonderful experience, your support was invaluable.
On a positive note, we are looking forward to further exciting volunteering opportunities for our learners once it is safe to do so.
