Safeguarding Of Children, Young People & Vulnerable Adults

Learning For Life is committed to maintaining an Outstanding Specialist Education Provision by providing a safe learning environment that promotes wellbeing for all learners and staff.

Our strategy for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk includes:

  1. Strictly adhering to the principles of ‘Safer Recruitment’ of all staff.
  2. Maintaining a safe learning environment where young people and adults at risk feel secure, are listened to, and are encouraged to talk.
  3. Ensuring all learners can clearly identify any staff whom they can approach if they are worried.
  4. Providing mandatory training to all staff on Safeguarding young people and adults at risk, Prevent, Anti-Bullying, Autism Awareness and Equality and Diversity.
  5. Raising awareness of potential safeguarding issues by embedding weekly Personal & Social Development tutorials in the curriculum on Keeping Safe, Bullying, Internet Safety, Prevent, County Lines, and other topics of relevance.
  6. Maintaining and promoting robust procedures for reporting and dealing with allegations of abuse.
