About Learning for Life

Marie Matthewson
Principal and Head of Services

Hello and a very warm welcome to Learning for Life, a provider of education and care for adults with high support needs, special educational needs or disabilities. We operate from two sites, one in Consett, County Durham and one in Newcastle Upon Tyne – John Marley Centre. The sites facilitate much needed education and social care placements for those who need a personalised, bespoke package, tailored to meet individual’s needs.

Our team of professionals are passionate about providing a learner centred, stimulating, effective environment where learners can fulfill their potential and prepare for life ahead. We assist every individual to celebrate their unique identity and support the young peoples’ desire to achieve ambitious goals. We could not achieve this without the support of parents, carers, learners, professionals and other stakeholders, they are instrumental in supporting us to provide a consistently high-quality service.

I do hope you find this website interesting and informative and if you should require any further information please contact us. Learning for Life provides a stimulating, safe and innovative learning environment for adults with a diverse range of learning, emotional, behavioural and physical disabilities.
