Herbert Street premises opens it’s doors Monday 11th June

A sneaky preview of Learning for Life, Social Care at Herbert Street, in the centre of Consett opened its doors on Monday 11th June 2018 for the first time
to learners.
It has been lovely to show visitors around during the renovation of the old school building but
we are now delighted to say we are ready for learners
to attend.

A huge thank you to staff, directors, family and friends for their help, support and of course the fund raising/giving. Together we have achieved so much. A massive thanks goes to Tom, Ronnie, Ashleigh and Philippa who have worked so hard during the renovation. They have amazed me with their energy, commitment and determination to ensure we were ready for tomorrow – the extra hours you have committed too is above and beyond any expectations, I really can’t thank you all enough!

A huge thank you to Kathryn Athey from
Durham County Council as without her help, support
and guidance this wouldn’t have been possible!
Thank you Kathryn.

Lastly, thank you to the students and staff at New College Durham, Sage and the young people from the Princes Trust have been absolutely amazing for decorating the internal area (no easy job!) and the outside area too!
This was completed on a voluntary basis which is absolutely fantastic and so very much appreciated.
It’s difficult to put into words how much we value the contribution you have all made to the charity but
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!

We are all looking forward to exciting times ahead.
Thank you again!

Marie Matthewson.
