Special Olympic Games in Stirling

Two of our learners Vicky and Rachel had an amazing opportunity to take part in the Stirling Olympic Games on the 9th-12th August 2018. The opening of the Games was amazing! Athletes, their families, coaches and volunteers enjoyed the ceremony, the live bands were incredible! What a way to start this magnificent event!

After a 6.30am breakfast to boost the energy levels after an amazing opening Ceremony on the Friday night, the Boccia competition commenced. There has been some excellent results for the North East region…..Well done to all athletes in all competitions! It was an amazing day – The Northern Team did exceptionally well winning many ribbons and medals. Rachel is a bronze medalist – this is an outstanding achievement as the competition has been so very close! Vicky won 5th place for her performance too. We are so very proud of both of them!

A huge thank you to all who have worked so hard to make sure this event run like clockwork!
