Marie Matthewson joined the college 2012 after having a diverse and specialised career history, including many prominent roles in BT. After leaving BT, Marie worked extensively in the areas of teaching, learning and assessment, but gaining her subsequent position at the College helped her fulfil a long-term desire to work with young people with special needs.
Marie is now responsible for ensuring that each learner is encouraged and supported to learn to the best of their ability, whilst also developing their individual skills. Marie has always had a passion for making learning an adventure. The young people at Learning for Life inspire Marie to want to play her important part in making each and every learner’s learning journey one of enrichment and personal fulfilment.
